Pastoral Care Workshop
Training days for Eucharistic Visitors
January 31st and February 14th
9:00 am to 3:00 pm – St. Andrew’s church library
Are you currently a Eucharistic Visitor? Have you thought you might like to be? On occasion, faithful members of our congregation are unable to attend worship and receive communion with their brothers and sisters in Christ. Carrying the bread and wine from the Eucharistic meal we share on Sunday and being present with them is a sign of their unity with the Body of Christ. The goal is to encourage and strengthen the person visited and to increase their sense of connection with the congregation to which they belong.
On January 31st and February 14th St. Andrew’s, Seattle, will host diocesan training days for Eucharistic Visitors. This training meets the licensing requirements for Eucharistic visitation in the diocese and provides an opportunity to discern a call to the ministry of visitation.
